ABOUT DANIEL:
Dan is originally from Georgia, and has been playing the Trombone since the early 1990's.Dan received a bachelor’s degree in Trombone Performance from Georgia State University. His trombone studies have been with Dr. Tom Gibson, Alan McConnell, and James Fantz. Dan was the Trombone Section Leader for the 116th Georgia Army National Guard Band from 2000-2006, before going Active Duty in the Army as a Field Artillery Officer. Dan has performed on Trombone, Euphonium, Baritone, and Piano in numerous ensembles to include the Georgia Brass Band, the Emory Brass Ensemble, the Hunt Valley Wind Ensemble, Hunt Valley Jazz Ensemble, Hunt Valley Brass quintet, the Atlanta Trombone Ensemble, and the Black Sheep Ensemble.
Dan is currently a member of the Rocket City Bones (Trombone Choir)
and the Rock City Jazz Orchestra.
Dan is also an arranger and composer. He also works with high school marching bands to arrange and design shows for their marching competition season.
