ABOUT LARRY:

Larry Janzen grew up playing big band music, attending band camps conducted by the Stan Kenton Orchestra in the early ‘60s.  After playing through his college years with the college jazz band and touring the southwest with a rock and blues band, he put up the drumsticks to become an adult.  Larry resumed his music career in 2002 when he joined the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra.  In addition to his work with RCJO, he also plays regularly with local blues guitarist Jimmy Henderson, and with the Praise and Worship band at Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
