ABOUT JOSÉ:

José started playing professionally straight out of high school with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of trumpeter, Lee Castle. During college, he played seasonally with groups at Walt Disney World. José also played on cruise ships and tours throughout Florida performing with many acts, including The Fifth Dimension, Fankie Avalon, Sid Caesar, Jerry Vale, The Four Lads, Tex Beneke, The Pied Pipers, and The Modernaires. After a 25-year hiatus, José is happy to be playing again with the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra. For his day job, José is an artist/photographer and teaches art at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
