Pete Harrison is a 27-year veteran of the USAF and US Army Bands in Maryland, New Hampshire, Masschusetts, Texas, Italy, and Japan. He has performed for President George H. W. Bush, Senator Edward Kennedy, French President Francois Mitterand, Prime Minister of Japan Junichiro Koizumi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace, and many other dignataries and heads of state, as well as soccer star Diego Maradona and Italian television personality Maurizio Costanzo.
In his distinguished career, Pete has shared the performance stage with with Rufus Reid, Eddie Daniels, The Mills Brothers, The Four Aces, Helen Redy, Wilford Brimley, Jeff Holmes, Sadao Watanabe, Bill Goodwin, Ken Watters, Sonny Melendrez, and His Majesty, King Bumibol Adulyadej of Thailand.
Pete recieved his Masters degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservartory in 1994, and has studied with musical luminaries George Russel, George Garzone, Hankus Netsky, Ray Shiner, Don Sebesky, and William Thomas McKinley.
Pete retired from the military in 2009, and now resides in the Huntsville area where he performs with Chip Gulbro & Friends, Que Rico!, Quiet Storm, Watter-Felts Project, Three Base Hit, and the Devere Pride Trio in addition to performing and arranging in the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra.
